To follow or not to follow? This is a constant question asked by Twitter users. Should I follow this user or ignore him or her? Typical Twitter users will have to make this choice several times daily and the task of adding those you wish to follow and dropping those that you wish to ignore can become both time consuming and demanding.

What if this process could be simplified? Well it turns out that this daily task for Twitter users can be simplified through the use of an app called Tweepler. Tweepler simplifies the process of selecting who you want to follow and who you wish to ignore.

The app is simple to use. You can choose to place twitter users in one of two buckets. Bucket one is those you wish to follow and bucket two is reserved for those you wish to ignore. If you choose to put someone into the ignore bucket, you will never get asked to follow that user again.

Here’s a piece from the site describing the purpose of Tweepler and what this app allows you to do.

-Simplistic and Intuitive Interface: We’ve made it simple and enjoyable to process your new followers and to access those you’re already following.

-Reduce Clutter: Archive followers out of the way by placing them in the Ignore bucket and never having to look at them again!

-Save Time: View detailed stats for new followers, eliminating the need to go to each individual profile and further speeding up the decision process.

As you can see, the usefulness of Tweepler is right up there with the best Twitter apps available. Tweepler takes the most time consuming Twitter task, the tedious act of adding or ignoring other Twitter users and makes it simple.

Yes, there are Twitter apps to serve all of your needs and even apps that you could not possibly imagine how they could be useful to you. To prove this, we will review a rather unique Twitter app called Twistori. Now some Twitter users will find this app intriguing, though maybe not useful. However, Twistori does make for an interesting read and some of what is seen through this app is as the commercials say “priceless”.

What is Twistori? Twistori is a rolling screensaver app based off of Twitter comments and updates. To use the app you simple click on one of the words found on the left of the screen. The words include love, hate, think, believe, wish, and feel. After clicking on one of the words, a rolling screensaver appears with Twitter feeds that start with the selected word.

Maybe it doesn’t sound that useful, but reading some of the comments can cause you to break out in laughter or cowl in disgust.. This is exactly where Twistori shines. Reading the screen for a minute or two could make you laugh, could disgust you, or could upset you. You never really know which emotion will be evoked.

Twistori is nothing more than an ever changing screen saver powered by updates posted on Twitter. Its draw is the forthcoming nature of the comments found and the phrases displayed on the screen that are both unpredictable and at times downright rude. This app fits its name, it puts a twist to the story of users.

If you have found your way to this site, then you are likely an avid Twitter user. You spend a portion of your day tweeting away and keeping in touch with fellow Twitter users. There are countless apps, the numbers of which continue to grow everyday, to help you get the most out of your Twitter experience. Apps can do everything from keeping you updated, to presenting coupon offers to local stores, to tracking users worldwide.

This site provides reviews of many apps which guides you in selecting which ones you want to use and helps you determine which ones are right for you. If you interested in learning about which apps are out there, there just so happens to be a site for that too. Twitter Fan Wiki gives a run-down of most of the apps available for twitter users. It’s setup is a basic list format with links to many apps.

Just click on Apps under the Geeky Stuff headline and you will be on your way. Next, select your platform, Windows, Linux, Mac, etc and a list of available apps will pop up. The descriptions are not very in depth, that’s where our site comes in handy, but the list is quite conclusive.

So if you see an app that looks interesting over on Twitter Fan Wiki, head back here and search for a complete review of the apps. The Twitter Fan Wiki page has numerous other choices on the page, but most are not extremely useful unless you are an expert twitter user.

Apps are what make Tweeting interesting. By allowing you to track virtually every aspect of your Twitter experience, apps add a statistical, competitive, and interactive experience to the Twitter world.

If you are an avid Twitter user, you have probably discovered that there is a Twiiter app for virtually everything. Some of the Twitter apps are simple and user friendly, whereas others are very complex, hard to decipher, yet provide endless information.

Twittercounter falls into the second category. This app is extremely useful for tracking if you know how to use it. The problem is, it’s incredibly difficult to understand. Here’s what Twittercounter does for you. Twittercounter uses a matrix or graph representation that shows your followers, those who your are following, and your total tweets. Through graphical representation, you can see trends for all twitter users.

Want to know how quickly you will have 1,000 followers, the graphs on Twittercounter will predict the answer for you. Want to know how you compare to other Twitter users, thr graphs will display the results for you. Updates are provided daily so you can keep track of how your are doing and how those you are following have fared in recent days.

Below the graphs you will see information including the amount of followers a Twitter users is expected to have 30 days from now, the date a Twitter user joined on, and your overall Twitter rank. You can also access two top 1,000 lists, the first of which shows the most popular Twitter users and the second which displays the most popular Twitter lists.

At first glance, Twittercounter may appear confusing, but after a little time experimenting with the site you will quickly realize just how powerful this app can be.

If you’re looking for a large Twitter directory powered by the users themselves, then WeFollow has exactly what you’re looking for.

Kevin Rose, who also created Digg, developed this user-friendly Twitter directory. Over the past year, WeFollow has steadily become one of the most popular Twitter directories on the net.

Every Twitter user can and should take full advantage of WeFollow. Users can choose to list themselves among millions of other Twitter users, or they can just browse the database at their leisure.

To add yourself to WeFollow, you must enter your location first and foremost. A large percentage of Twitter users prefer to network, meet and communicate with individuals who are close to their vicinity.

WeFollow has hundreds, and quite possibly thousands, of categories that users can choose as their hashtag. ‘Celebrity’ is currently the top category and ‘New York, NY’ is currently the top location on WeFollow.

WeFollow users are allowed to enter up to 5 hashtags. Submitting the appropriate hashtag is extremely important to finding like-minded individuals. If you are a Journalist and business owner, you would enter those two hashtags to meet people in that line of work.

As you type-in a particular hashtag, WeFollow shows a drop-down menu of suggested hashtags you can use. The drop-down menu also indicates the number of WeFollow users who have already used that particular hashtag. Users also have the option to create their own tags.

Claiming a hashtag that doesn’t pertain to your profession or line-of-work can work against your chances of being followed. The hashtags you use can either make or break your chances of being followed, so it would be best to choose wisely.

To complete your directory submission, you must allow WeFollow to tweet the link and hashtags as a status update to your Twitter profile.

WeFollow is used by celebrities, corporate types and your average Joe.

This application is a great way to meet new people who share the same profession and/or interests.

Meeting new people or even a love interest, can happen just about anywhere. Online dating sites have proven successful for some individuals looking for love, so why wouldn’t Twitter do just the same?

The Plenty Of Tweeps application brings single Twitter users together in one friendly community.

This website is designed especially for Twitter users. It helps users broaden their horizons and search for love and friendships via one of the most popular social networking websites.

Each user sets up their profile with OAuth. All members will have their own profile where they can upload pictures and fill-out a detailed biography about themselves.

You can search Plenty Of Tweeps for other single Twitter users by name or location.

Whenever you come across a user that you like or want to get to know, click the ‘Like?‘ button and the person is then sent an anonymous notification once they log in.

All notifications and messages are sent from Plenty of Tweeps and not your Twitter account. Plenty Of Tweeps is a great way to befriend Twitter users and learn more about them. Instead of just interacting with Twitter users in 140 characters, Plenty Of Tweeps gives you the opportunity to get to know users on a more personal level with their very own messaging system.

If you try out this site and decide its not for you, send and e-mail to Plenty Of Tweeps and they will remove your account.

One of the most popular Twitter apps as listed by Compete in their Top 21 Twitter Apps chart is a site called Re:Tweetist. Re:Tweetist is simple in nature, but allows users to find out a lof of information about both Twitter users and online sites.

So what does Re:Tweetist actually do? Well for starters, it allows you to search instantly for the hottest news topics, the most popular tweeters, and the most tweeted sites on the web. The user interface is so simple that anyone could use the site and discover exatcly what they are looking for in just a few seconds.

Re:Tweetist is broken down into three categories which include news, tweeters, and urls. To search for news with the most retweets all you do is go directly to their site and the list pops up on its own. If your interested in finding out about tweeters with the most retweets simply click the box at the top with the title Tweeters. Trying to find out which web sites have the most retweets? Simply click the box with the title URLs.

The sites design could not be more user friendlys. Additionally, the site has two other search features which allows you to search for retweets by username and the search for sites by specific URLs. If you want to know either how popular a Twitter user is or how popular a site is, it’s just a click away.

Just as one can be addicted to caffeine, alcohol, or practically anything else, the site called Twitterholic.com suggests that Twitter users can be considered addicts as well.

This Twitter App uses what they refer to as their Twittastic robot which scans through the Twitter timeline in search of new twits and tweets. The robot performs this action several times per day and compiles the stats it garners to produce a list of Twitterholics.

The list essentially shows the most popular Twiiter users at an given time. The best part about the app is that participation is essentially mandatory. If you Twit or Tweet, they will find you, no need to sign up for anything or download a program. Every user could potentially make the list at some point, but famous people tend to occupy most if not all of the top spots.

A brief look over the Twitterholic top 100 list for today shows many celebrities on the list including Oprah Winfrey, Ryan Seacrest, Demi Moore, Barack Obama and Ellen Degeneres to name a few. Also on the list are sites like Twitter.com and emurse.com a jobsearch site.

Though it probably is not easy to make the list, some will certainly try. Gaining a top spot on the list officially makes you a Twitterholic. Visit the link to check the top Twitterholics any time.

Digg is one of the largest and most efficient social networking tools in existence. It’s not surprising that someone would come up with an application that combines the two.

In order to use this application, you must have a Digg account. Once your account is set-up, Twiggit will ask you for your both your Digg username and Twitter username. A password is not required to access this application.

Twiggit searches your Digg profile for articles you submitted and Dugg. These articles are then posted to your Twitter account as a status update. Twiggit will continue to post your links until you change your settings to tell the application to stop.

Users can choose to only have their submitted links tweeted or have everything in their Digg account tweeted. Users can also decide if they want their links on Twitter to be shown through tinyurl, bit.ly, or DiggBar.

For those individuals that use Digg to enhance their website’s traffic, Twiggit is a great way to cross-promote. With Twiggit, you will reach a wider audience. The more ‘diggs’ your link has, the more popular you will become.
