Lists are the most popular feature that Twitter has in place. The DoesFollow List Check application allows you to search lists for your username.

This application, DoesFollow List Check, is a follow-up to DoesFollow. The new and improved application makes finding people who follow certain lists as easy as pie.

To get started, you need to find the list or lists that you’re interested in searching. Simply place the title of the list in the first box. The second box is designated for the user(s) that you wish to search for.

The application will then thoroughly search the list for the Twitter user you submitted. You will either get a positive search result stating that the person is following that particular list. Or you will get a search failed search result.

The main purpose of the DoesFollow Check List is to cut your manual search labor in half. If you see a list that seems interesting, don’t go through your friends’ lists. Instead, type their name into the DoesFollow Check List and you’ll get the results you need in no time!

DoesFollow Check List requires no passwords, log-ins or authentication. Anyone and everyone can use this application.
Don’t forget to follow DoesFollow on Twitter for updates and exclusive information.

To follow or not to follow? This is a constant question asked by Twitter users. Should I follow this user or ignore him or her? Typical Twitter users will have to make this choice several times daily and the task of adding those you wish to follow and dropping those that you wish to ignore can become both time consuming and demanding.

What if this process could be simplified? Well it turns out that this daily task for Twitter users can be simplified through the use of an app called Tweepler. Tweepler simplifies the process of selecting who you want to follow and who you wish to ignore.

The app is simple to use. You can choose to place twitter users in one of two buckets. Bucket one is those you wish to follow and bucket two is reserved for those you wish to ignore. If you choose to put someone into the ignore bucket, you will never get asked to follow that user again.

Here’s a piece from the site describing the purpose of Tweepler and what this app allows you to do.

-Simplistic and Intuitive Interface: We’ve made it simple and enjoyable to process your new followers and to access those you’re already following.

-Reduce Clutter: Archive followers out of the way by placing them in the Ignore bucket and never having to look at them again!

-Save Time: View detailed stats for new followers, eliminating the need to go to each individual profile and further speeding up the decision process.

As you can see, the usefulness of Tweepler is right up there with the best Twitter apps available. Tweepler takes the most time consuming Twitter task, the tedious act of adding or ignoring other Twitter users and makes it simple.

If you have found your way to this site, then you are likely an avid Twitter user. You spend a portion of your day tweeting away and keeping in touch with fellow Twitter users. There are countless apps, the numbers of which continue to grow everyday, to help you get the most out of your Twitter experience. Apps can do everything from keeping you updated, to presenting coupon offers to local stores, to tracking users worldwide.

This site provides reviews of many apps which guides you in selecting which ones you want to use and helps you determine which ones are right for you. If you interested in learning about which apps are out there, there just so happens to be a site for that too. Twitter Fan Wiki gives a run-down of most of the apps available for twitter users. It’s setup is a basic list format with links to many apps.

Just click on Apps under the Geeky Stuff headline and you will be on your way. Next, select your platform, Windows, Linux, Mac, etc and a list of available apps will pop up. The descriptions are not very in depth, that’s where our site comes in handy, but the list is quite conclusive.

So if you see an app that looks interesting over on Twitter Fan Wiki, head back here and search for a complete review of the apps. The Twitter Fan Wiki page has numerous other choices on the page, but most are not extremely useful unless you are an expert twitter user.

Apps are what make Tweeting interesting. By allowing you to track virtually every aspect of your Twitter experience, apps add a statistical, competitive, and interactive experience to the Twitter world.

Below the graphs you will see information including the amount of followers a Twitter users is expected to have 30 days from now, the date a Twitter user joined on, and your overall Twitter rank. You can also access two top 1,000 lists, the first of which shows the most popular Twitter users and the second which displays the most popular Twitter lists.

Polls are one of the best ways to get insight on certain thoughts, ideas and issues.

Creating a poll or survey on POLLpigeon is easy. To get started, simply authenticate your account using the OAuth method.

All polls are required to have a picture accompany the question the user is asking. Users may also include trending tags, preceded by the ‘#’ sign, within their poll question. Your poll’s picture and how you phrase your question can be the determining factor as to whether or not another users take your poll.

POLLpigeon allows users the ability to have an infinite number of answer options for poll-takers to choose from. Users even have the option to make pictures represent the answers to their polls.

The Conversationalist application automatically creates a list of the people you interact with the most on Twitter.

Of course you could say Twitter’s ‘list’ feature is similar to the conversationalist, but you’d be wrong.

Twitter lists are made by the user where as Conversationalist grabs the first 25 people you communicate with the most. Anyone you send a reply or mention using ‘@’, will be added to your conversationalist list.

This is one of the best applications to-date. Digging through a pile of users that you don’t speak to is annoying and tiresome. This application makes interaction with your genuine friends and followers easy by doing all the work for you.

The list of people put together by the Conversationalist is updated on a daily basis. According to the Conversationalist website, once someone on Twitter follows your list, they will be able to see everything you and those on your list say. All lists can be deleted via your Twitter account.

Check out the conversational approach to Twitter lists.

Just as one can be addicted to caffeine, alcohol, or practically anything else, the site called Twitterholic.com suggests that Twitter users can be considered addicts as well.

This Twitter App uses what they refer to as their Twittastic robot which scans through the Twitter timeline in search of new twits and tweets. The robot performs this action several times per day and compiles the stats it garners to produce a list of Twitterholics.

The list essentially shows the most popular Twiiter users at an given time. The best part about the app is that participation is essentially mandatory. If you Twit or Tweet, they will find you, no need to sign up for anything or download a program. Every user could potentially make the list at some point, but famous people tend to occupy most if not all of the top spots.

A brief look over the Twitterholic top 100 list for today shows many celebrities on the list including Oprah Winfrey, Ryan Seacrest, Demi Moore, Barack Obama and Ellen Degeneres to name a few. Also on the list are sites like Twitter.com and emurse.com a jobsearch site.

Though it probably is not easy to make the list, some will certainly try. Gaining a top spot on the list officially makes you a Twitterholic. Visit the link to check the top Twitterholics any time.

Numerous people don’t get involved, because they don’t know where to start. Act.ly gives users a starting point to help get ‘the word’ get out there about a issue or event they believe in.

The application is comprised of 3 ways to get you and your followers involved.

These three techniques–petitions, retweets and events– are easy to use and will help garner more attention to your cause.

Petitions can be signed by any Twitter user. In order to get a user to sign your petition, simply tweet the person by using the ‘@’ symbol. When a user responds to the petition tweet, it counts as a signature. Essentially, the more you tweet your petition, the more signatures and followers you will obtain.

The retweets section allows users to input the petition they want to be re-tweeted. Once you tweet the petition, act.ly keeps track of how many times it has been re-tweeted. The pictures of act.ly users who have tweeted a post recently are shown on the right column of the site.

The events section allows you to create and promote events across the nation. Events created with act.ly are public and cannot be made private.

Act.ly isn’t just another application that tries to sell you an empty promise. Read the testimonial, which can be found here, from ‘Women Who Tech’.

The Twit4 application lists reputable and high-in-demand companies and organizations that hold Twitter accounts. Twit4 lists companies by how popular they are on Twitter

This essential networking tool caters to schools, corporations, small business-owners and non-profit organizations. Twit4 doesn’t shun adding small ‘unknown’ businesses from being listed on the site.

With this organized directory application, users can search, find and follow their favorite company with ease.

This application currently has 20 categories of companies to choose from. Most, if not all, of these categories contain sub-categories in order to make finding a company easier.

Entertainment, Music, Real Estate, Travel and Government are just a few of the categories that can be found on the website.

Businesses who are currently not listed on the site can submit a ‘ticket’ with their company’s information. All company’s who desire to be listed, need to have a website affiliated with their company. Once all the information is confirmed and processed, the company will then be added to the site.

Having your company listed on Twit4 is a great way to increase your popularity and traffic. This application also gives companies the ability to communicate with one another; which can eventually lead to an increase in business.

People interested in suggesting a new category, can e-mail Twit4 at support@twit4.com.
