Not all Twitter apps are useful, some are simply fun to use. The app called Twittervision fits into the second category. This particular app is not very useful, but could help you pass some time and learn some things along the way all while having a little fun.

What is Twittervision? Twittervision is a Twitter app that is powered by the Google Earth program. The app take current updates and tracks them on the world map. You can view updates in real time and the site shows you exactly where the update originates from.

Yes you will see updates in all languages from around the world. This could either make things confusing or interesting, depending upon your take of it. But this app does open your eyes to some of the thoughts from those around the globe.

You may be surprised to find out how many different languages Twitter users speak in the U.S. alone, or you may try to decipher what someone is saying in another language. Perhaps even put your own meaning to someone else’s words. Use your imagination and as mentioned before, this app is more about passing time and getting a laugh than it is about actual usefulness.

Go to Twittervision and see for yourself. You may get hooked.

To follow or not to follow? This is a constant question asked by Twitter users. Should I follow this user or ignore him or her? Typical Twitter users will have to make this choice several times daily and the task of adding those you wish to follow and dropping those that you wish to ignore can become both time consuming and demanding.

What if this process could be simplified? Well it turns out that this daily task for Twitter users can be simplified through the use of an app called Tweepler. Tweepler simplifies the process of selecting who you want to follow and who you wish to ignore.

The app is simple to use. You can choose to place twitter users in one of two buckets. Bucket one is those you wish to follow and bucket two is reserved for those you wish to ignore. If you choose to put someone into the ignore bucket, you will never get asked to follow that user again.

Here’s a piece from the site describing the purpose of Tweepler and what this app allows you to do.

-Simplistic and Intuitive Interface: We’ve made it simple and enjoyable to process your new followers and to access those you’re already following.

-Reduce Clutter: Archive followers out of the way by placing them in the Ignore bucket and never having to look at them again!

-Save Time: View detailed stats for new followers, eliminating the need to go to each individual profile and further speeding up the decision process.

As you can see, the usefulness of Tweepler is right up there with the best Twitter apps available. Tweepler takes the most time consuming Twitter task, the tedious act of adding or ignoring other Twitter users and makes it simple.

Yes, there are Twitter apps to serve all of your needs and even apps that you could not possibly imagine how they could be useful to you. To prove this, we will review a rather unique Twitter app called Twistori. Now some Twitter users will find this app intriguing, though maybe not useful. However, Twistori does make for an interesting read and some of what is seen through this app is as the commercials say “priceless”.

What is Twistori? Twistori is a rolling screensaver app based off of Twitter comments and updates. To use the app you simple click on one of the words found on the left of the screen. The words include love, hate, think, believe, wish, and feel. After clicking on one of the words, a rolling screensaver appears with Twitter feeds that start with the selected word.

Maybe it doesn’t sound that useful, but reading some of the comments can cause you to break out in laughter or cowl in disgust.. This is exactly where Twistori shines. Reading the screen for a minute or two could make you laugh, could disgust you, or could upset you. You never really know which emotion will be evoked.

Twistori is nothing more than an ever changing screen saver powered by updates posted on Twitter. Its draw is the forthcoming nature of the comments found and the phrases displayed on the screen that are both unpredictable and at times downright rude. This app fits its name, it puts a twist to the story of users.

If you have found your way to this site, then you are likely an avid Twitter user. You spend a portion of your day tweeting away and keeping in touch with fellow Twitter users. There are countless apps, the numbers of which continue to grow everyday, to help you get the most out of your Twitter experience. Apps can do everything from keeping you updated, to presenting coupon offers to local stores, to tracking users worldwide.

This site provides reviews of many apps which guides you in selecting which ones you want to use and helps you determine which ones are right for you. If you interested in learning about which apps are out there, there just so happens to be a site for that too. Twitter Fan Wiki gives a run-down of most of the apps available for twitter users. It’s setup is a basic list format with links to many apps.

Just click on Apps under the Geeky Stuff headline and you will be on your way. Next, select your platform, Windows, Linux, Mac, etc and a list of available apps will pop up. The descriptions are not very in depth, that’s where our site comes in handy, but the list is quite conclusive.

So if you see an app that looks interesting over on Twitter Fan Wiki, head back here and search for a complete review of the apps. The Twitter Fan Wiki page has numerous other choices on the page, but most are not extremely useful unless you are an expert twitter user.

Apps are what make Tweeting interesting. By allowing you to track virtually every aspect of your Twitter experience, apps add a statistical, competitive, and interactive experience to the Twitter world.

Below the graphs you will see information including the amount of followers a Twitter users is expected to have 30 days from now, the date a Twitter user joined on, and your overall Twitter rank. You can also access two top 1,000 lists, the first of which shows the most popular Twitter users and the second which displays the most popular Twitter lists.

As the usage of Twitter continues to grow, more and more applications become available. There are apps for nearly everything you can imagine. Now, many businesses are utilizing Twitter to enhance their sales. From mom and pops shops to huge corporations, Twitter offers businesses the opportunity to reach a large audience for very little cost. Essentially, Twitter becomes a source of virtually free advertising for businesses.

Some businesses will tweet with specials at their stores or even post online coupon code and offers available to all Twitter recipients. The problem that remains is how do businesses make sure you can find out about all of the great deals? That’s exactly where the app Twibs comes in handy. Twibs allow shoppers to receive all kinds of special offers via Twitter from businesses across the globe or right around the corner.

Twibs lists their goals as follows, “Twibs was created by a small group of people with one purpose: Give twitter users a place to find businesses on twitter.
We are big believers in the power of twitter to connect customers with businesses. We’re working on making it easy for consumers to find businesses, both local and national. We’re working hard for you to keep helping consumers find your business on twitter!”

How does the app work? Simply go to the site and enter a search in the box at the top. Search for anything shopping related that you would like. If any business that you are looking for utilizes Twitter, they will be displayed below. Then you can click on that business and choose to follow them and get updates. When businesses that you follow offer coupons or special sales, you will receive notification via your Twitter account. It’s simply and could save you a lot of money while also keeping you up to date with your favorite retailers anywhere in the world.

For more info and to utilize the Twibs app click the link below.

Well, did you know that there is one simple site that lets you track everything that you are looking for. The site, called “monitter” lets you do everything listed above with ease. Its user interface is simple and within seconds you can find out about people tweeting near you, people tweeting near a city of interest to you, and you can discover update trends in your area.

To use this twitter app simply go to www.monitter.com. Once at the site you will see three boxes in the upper left corner. One box contains a distance number, the second box a unit of measurement selection, and the third box is utilized for a zip code.
