Discover excessive re-tweeters with Reduncery

The Reduncery application aims to smoke-out tweeters who excessively re-tweet the same thing.

Tweeting different statuses is understandable, but tweeting the same status, link or phrase becomes redundant after a while. If you’re tired of seeing the same thing re-tweeted then the Reduncery application is just what you need.

According to the application’s website, a redunce is someone who re-tweets excessively in proportion to their total tweets. The second definition states that a redunce re-tweets things that most of their followers have already seen.

To see how redundant you and your friends are, simply type your Twitter handle in the designated box. At this present time,Reduncery does not work on locked profile. When the application finishes analyzing the submitted account, it will display whether or not that account is a redunce. Reduncery will also display the account’s percentage of tweets that are duplicates and re-tweets.

Reduncery also has a cool ‘compare’ feature. This feature allows you to compare a re-tweeter and the person being re-tweeted.

Reduncery gives tweeters the chance to follow people that post unique messages instead of users that post the same redundant messages.
