Portwiture: Flickr pictures and your tweets combined

The Portwiture application analyzes your tweets and grabs closely related pictures from Flickr.

If your profile is locked, Portwiture will ask you to authenticate  your account, through the oAuth method, before using the application.

To use the application, just enter your Twitter handle and change the settings to the ones you feel most comfortable with.  Click the ‘GO’ button and Portwiture will display a grid of pictures that closely resemble the terms you tweet about. Users can also view the pictures as a slide show instead.

Portwiture does have different search options to make your results more personal. Search for  Flickr usernames, photo relevance, common words, the  time the picture was posted and much more.

At the very bottom of the screen your Twitter default, username and the words you use the most on Twitter are displayed.  There’s even a ‘Tweet This!’ button so Twitter users can tweet their results when they’re done.

Portwiture is a cool mash-up of two very popular social networking services. This application is a great way to step away from the norm and see your tweets in pictures.
