It’s very hard to decipher who you have mutual friends with on Twitter. You could always scan a person’s profile, but that might take a few hours or maybe even days. OMGFriends is a useful Twitter application that makes finding mutual friends easier.

OMGFriends! is free to use and requires no registration or authentication. Anyone, even someone without a Twitter account, can use this application.

To get started, select two people that you want to analyze. Place each name in the highlighter green box at the top of the screen. From the drop-down menu, choose whether you’d like to see the mutual friends or followers between the two users. Of course you can see both, but that has to be done one-by-one. ¬†Click on ‘Show me? kthxbai.’

Once you click on the submit button, you will be shown the mutual friends or followers between the two people. OMGFriends does give you the option to make your search results public.

The ‘Recent’ tab shows the latest searches made with OMGFriends. There is also a ‘Scoreboard’ tab that keeps track of each users’ score and a ‘Leaderboard’ tab that shows the users with the most mutual friends/followers.

OMGFriends is a great way to compare which friends you and another Twitter user have in common. It’s also also a great way to gain more friends and followers. A mutual friend would be more inclined to follow you back if you know someone they are friends with. OMGFriends is proof that Twitter is one huge networking sespool!
