Tweet directly from your address bar with the Instant Tweets plug-in
Having a ton of web pages running at the same time, can slow down your computer and eat-up your memory.
The Instant Tweets application allows Twitter fanatics the ability to tweet directly from their address bar.
Instant Tweets is an innovative plug-in for Mozilla Firefox. Once the plug-in is installed, a blue bird will appear in the right-hand side of your address bar.
Simply type in what you want to say in your address bar, while logged into Twitter, then click on the blue bird. And just like that, your sentence is now posted to Twitter.
You can also tweet the current web page you’re on in two separate ways. The first way to tweet your current web page is by executing the same steps as above. The second way to tweet a website, is by right clicking on the page and selecting ‘tweet this page’ from the drop-down menu.
Pictures can also be tweeted by right-clicking on the image and selecting the ‘tweet this image’ option.
The Instant Tweets plug-in also has a character counter that dwindles down as you type your messages.
As Twitter users cruise the Twitter website, they will notice that with the Instant Tweets plug-in, the blue bird turns ‘red’ when they come across someone who isn’t following them. This is a great feature for users who are overly concerned with a drop in followers.
Instant Tweets also shortens urls for Twitter placement instantly.
